New Guide For IMO
New Guide For IMO
With the free video chat service called IMO,
users can connect with friends for an impromptu video call. IMO
supports both text and video messages, and you can do so with just one
person or a group of people.
IMO is a
great service to use to chat with friends for free. Especially on
mobile, It provides an impressive array of features that are really easy
to access and understand.
IMO Now System Requirements and Download Links
IMO is available for mobile devices as well as Windows computers.
- Download IMO from iTunes or the App Store if you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
- Use Google Play link to get IMO on your Android phone or tablet (4.0 or later)
- You can also use IMO from your Windows PC
Setting Up the IMO Client on an iPhone or Android Device
Once the client is installed, and you've opened it, consider these things:
- You'll be prompted to let IMO access your contacts. Allowing this means you'll let the app look through all your contacts to provide you with a list of people who are already using the service. If someone isn't already on IMO, you can easily invite them.
- IMO will also want to have access to your notifications so that it can alert you when a new message comes in. You should definitely enable this so that you're always alerted of incoming calls
- Finally, IMO will need your phone number so that it can build your account. After you give it your number, you'll receive a text message with a verification code, which you can then enter in the form provided in order to verify your account.
How to Start Chatting on IMO
Once you have some contacts available to you on the IMO service,
there are a variety of ways that you can chat and interact with them.
Note: Nobody
can make a video or audio call with IMO unless they've both added each
other as contacts. Text messages still work, though.
To start a
one-to-one video chat, simply tap on your friend's name to initiate a
call. Once they answer, you'll see a video of them, as well as a video
of yourself in the upper left corner. You can do the same with just an
internet audio call by using that button instead.
IMO provides great support for group video chat as well. To start, tap New Group Video Call
and select (or invite) the contacts that you want to chat with. When
all of your contacts are available (you'll receive a notification each
time someone accepts a request for a group chat), simply tap the blue
video camera icon at the top right of the screen to start the group
video call.
Just like
with single contacts, you can send text, videos, images, and audio
recordings to groups. Also supported are emojis and dozens of stickers,
plus a drawing pad.
Some other
features you might be interested in is the ability to change your
profile picture and name, block contacts, and delete the chat history
and recent search history in the app.
